A sauna kit is a delivery format, not one sauna type
“Sauna kit” can describe several very different products: a barrel made from numbered staves, a panel-built indoor room, a flat-packed outdoor cube or cabin, or an infrared cabin whose wall panels clasp together. The useful question is not simply whether a product is called a kit. It is what arrives, what still has to be built, and what is excluded from the package price.
That distinction is important because two kits at similar advertised prices can leave very different work for the buyer. LeisureCraft states that its sauna models ship as prefabricated kits with numbered pieces and model-specific assembly resources. The heater line item can change the real kit price
A traditional sauna structure and a traditional sauna heating system are related but separate decisions. Some packages include a heater and stones; others let the retailer or buyer select a heater after the room size is known. That can be useful because glass, logs and other uninsulated surfaces can change the effective room volume used for heater sizing.

Retailer estimates such as “weekend assembly” are useful planning clues, but they do not make two kits equivalent.
